Location
The American University of Paris is located in the heart of Paris, next to the Eiffel Tower and the river Seine. The urban campus occupies eigth buildings and is easily accessible by public transport. Numerous shops, cafés, parks and a traditional open-air market are located near campus buildings.
Accreditations
The American University of Paris is accredited in the United States by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a non-profit educational institution incorporated in the State of Delaware and licensed by the State Board of Education as a Delaware institution of higher education. The American University of Paris is registered in the United States as a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. In France, The American University of Paris is declared to the Rectorat de Paris as an établissement privé d'enseignement supérieur libre.
The Institut de Commerce International et des Sciences de l'Information (ICISI) which includes the Departments of International Business Administration, International Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics and Science is recognized by the French Ministry of Education as an Etablissement d’enseignement technique privé.
The university confers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, and Master of Science degrees accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The institution is authorized to offer Bachelor's and Master's degrees through the State of Delaware.
Facilities
Eigth buildings containing ‘smart’ classrooms with wireless connections and state-of-the-art teaching equipment, computer labs and digital study areas in all buildings, an academic resource center including a writing lab as well as library facilities connected to all libraries in Paris.
Students also benefit from personalized academic advising, a career development office for internships and jobs, a housing office, a sport and activities team as well as a student café and restaurant.
Activities
Students are involved in the community through an active Student Government Association, student publications, a student newspaper, social and cultural events sports teams as well as student clubs.
Academic and personal progression is enhanced by frequent guest lectures, workshops, cultural and social forums and study trips.

Financial Aid
The American University of Paris offers a program of university-funded scholarships and grants that are awarded on the basis of both a student's academic strength and the family's financial circumstances. These scholarships and grants can provide up to 75% tuition reduction. Work study is also available for students.
New freshmen and transfer students with a good record of academic achievement are eligible for academic merit scholarships which range from €1.000- €3.000 a year.
A broad range of loan funds is available for American citizens. Students from other countries can inquire about local loans.
